Double fish pendant in rondel form of AAA+ quality, highly translucent nephrite of pale, off-white color. The elaborate carving shows them apparently biting each other's tails, the sacred fungus emblems being exhibited on both front and back. AQJ1016 - Antique Qing Jade Frog
3-legged Frog that (in Chinese mythology) inhabits the moon and guards the fairy princess living there. His body is covered with auspicious grain shoots (prosperity and good harvests), has a Fu-lion mouth out of which protrudes a lucky coin (also wishing for prosperity and wealth). Early 20th century, of very hard celadon-green opaque Burmese Jade with rust-brown markings, he was found in Southwest China. Well-carved and smooth, 2-3/8" long and in perfect condition. AQJ1017 - Antique Qing Jade Rabbit
Long-eared Rabbit, stretched out in repose. Made from light sea-green Manchurian Jade from Liaoning Province, it has traces of white mottling and brownish incursion (Iron rust) from burial. 2-1/4" long, it is perforated vertically in the manner of the Medievil (though it is probably Qing period). Excellent condition, very hard, with two small seams of the stone's formation in the earth long ago left intact by the carver. PRICE: $165.00 [See picture of back]
